Devang Patel joined Coscend Communications Solutions as a Member of Board of Advisors in February, 2008. He leads business development initiatives in the U.S.
Devang brings over 15 years of telecommunications industry experience at communications service providers and carriers, software platform vendors and telecom consulting companies. Devang is the Founder and President of ProfitLink Telecom Consultants that provides outsourcing services to reduce telecom expenses and manage telecom invoices. His company brings over 25 years of experience at AT&T (SBC), Sprint, Birch Telecom, IBM (Micromuse) and Comverse.
At AT&T, Micromuse and Birch, Devang led network operations, sales engineering, business development and marketing organizations. Under his leadership, these organizations accomplished the following:
- Developed, launched and marketed UNEP- and facility-based local, long distance, and Internet services that helped improve profit margins by 25 points;
- Developed wholesale telecommunications products (UNE and resale) for competitive local exchange carriers;
- Negotiated wholesale interconnection agreements with national and regional competitive local exchange carriers; and
- Served as expert witness at regulatory hearings.

Devang holds a Bachelor of Sciences in Electrical Engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a Master of Sciences in Engineering Economic Systems from Stanford University, and a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
