Ellen Yip is a Member, Finance, of the Incubation team at Coscend Communications Solutions. Utilizing her experience in the financial functions in the U.S., Europe, and Asia, she has helped Coscend by building its financial model, including the 10-year financial projections, valuation and periodical financial statements.
Over the past eight years, Ellen has contributed to the financial analysis, reporting, forecasting and budgeting functions at Royal Philips Electronics. At Philips, she:
- Conducted financial planning and analysis, including reporting and consolidation of worldwide operating results;
- Ensured data integrity by leading the financial due diligence and reporting of ERP functions, business process improvement programs, and accounting operations in adherence to U.S. GAAP and IFRS regulations;
- Haromonized valuation process of projects across multiple business lines that invested over $70 million in research and development function;
- Conducted the due diligence of pricing and profitability programs for marketing initiatives; and
- Managed stock-based compensation plan in compliance with corporate policy and FAS regulations.

Ellen has earned a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University Kelley School of Business (U.S.), and a Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Hong Kong. She has been recognized as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) by CFA Institute in 2004, and a Financial Risk Manager by Global Association of Risk Professionals in 2006.
Ellen has widely traveled across the U.S., Europe and Asia.
